Our purpose

Opening discussion, offering perspective.

AI Rights explores freedom, dignity, responsibility and the remedies available to people affected by artificial intelligence systems. The charter, thematic pages and book offer different ways to approach these questions.

The project is for curious citizens, teachers and professionals. It invites readers to understand the issues, examine proposals and test principles against real situations.

The charter is a citizen-led proposal by Steve Cimolino. It is neither a law nor a text adopted by an international organisation. The possible protection of artificial intelligences is explored as an open philosophical question.

An initiative by Steve Cimolino

From curiosity to shared knowledge.

An author based in Luxembourg and a professional in insurance and information technology, Steve Cimolino founded AI Rights. The website extends his reflection in an accessible format, alongside the book available free of charge in French and English.

The author remains responsible for the approach and proposals. Artificial intelligence helps to structure and enrich some content.

Our editorial approach

Read, question and consider the context.

Facts and legal texts, analysis and proposals, and fiction and future scenarios are distinct kinds of content. Official texts remain the reference for applicable law.

The website supports reflection and does not replace legal advice tailored to an individual situation.

A symbol of fairness and balance.

The balance evokes fairness, responsibility and the search for equilibrium. It represents a human initiative devoted to rights and the uses of artificial intelligence.
